I FINALLY got married at the age of 39 to the most amazing man in the world. He is God's blessing on my life and the fulfillment of a long-awaited promise. I am a nurse and therefore need things in my life to de-stress! Two of the things that keep me sane is writing and creating food.
When I start to write, God speaks to me. If you want to know what's in my heart, you might have a difficult time getting me to talk about it but you might easily find it through what I write.
I also love feeding people and luckily my husband will eat anything I put in front of him! I started baking when I was four. For those of you old enough to remember Holly Hobby, she had an oven. I received one that Christmas but was appalled that it wasn't real. Oh, it could bake a little cake but it sure didn't look like the big 70's style yellow oven in my mom's kitchen. I mixed up the cake batter but was adamant that it should be cooked in a real oven. My mom finally granted permission, as she probably rolled her eyes and wondered where this child came from. And, well, as they say, the rest is history...
